The Sunset Hall tradition continues! The Sunset Hall mission is alive and well. We have begun working with our new partner institution, Bethany Towers. Our move is now complete, and our Sunset Hall residents are enjoying their new home, and many new friends.

Wendy Caputo has made the transition to Bethany Towers to bring management depth in outreach and development, and to ensure that Sunset Hall continues its distinctive activities programs and support of the seniors in our progressive community.

Yes, Sunset Hall has returned to Hollywood, (where it was located prior to 1965). Our move is complete and we can be found in our new home:

In partnership with New Broadway Productions and Bethany Towers, Sunset Hall is sponsoring the much-loved Drum Circle on Thursdays at 2:00 p.m.  Why sponsor the drum circle?  It is an opportunity to improve your health!

Dr. Barry Bittman, neurologist, and his renowned research team have discovered that a specific approach to group drumming can significantly increase the disease-fighting activity of circulating white blood cells that can seek out and destroy virally-infected cells, and other organisms.  Drumming stimulates the mind and the body for those with mild cognitive impairment, dementia and Alzheimer's, and also promotes overall good health.

Even If residents participate for the social and emotional benefits alone, this program enhances the overall well-being of all of the residents who participate.  An average of 25 residents are participating in each session of the Drum Circle during the week.  In response to many resident requests, Sunset Hall is proud to partner with New Broadway Productions and Bethany Towers in order to provide this wonderful program.
