Welcome

Mission
Sunset Hall builds support for elders of diverse communities who share independence of spirit and involvement in the world, with the goal of achieving and maintaining social connections, learning and activism throughout life.

Vision
Sunset Hall’s vision is to be a dynamic force to create a world in which elders have social connection, physical activity, intellectual stimulation, respect for their experience, and active engagement in the affairs of the world.  Sunset Hall’s vision is that these elements will promote dignity, wellness and quality of life; will be achieved with community collaboration; and will become a new cultural standard.

Values
Sunset Hall is historically an independent organization with roots in Unitarianism and progressive movements. We value our structure as a nonprofit, membership-based organization, integrated into the diverse communities of Los Angeles.  Sunset Hall models its values through its programs and management.

View Sunset Hall's holiday collaborative work of art titled “River of Peace”

Peace!  A powerful word!  Sunset Hall's 2011 holiday message to you and yours is expressed through an original piece of artwork titled "River of Peace".  This collaborative effort was created by 19 talented artists participating in Sunset Hall's art classes at Rosewood Gardens Senior Apartments and Bethany Towers.  The artists collectively worked to design and create the piece to represent the diverse and inclusive community of seniors who are engaged in Sunset Hall's curriculum and those who rely on Sunset Hall every day for informational resources and companion transportation to personal appointments.
